Grass-fed milk is absolutely the best! And all our special Artisan Cheeses are made from the freshest grass-fed milk right here on the farm. Our cheese-making methods are traditional and our recipes old world. We create cheese by the hard work of our hands. All our cheese is made in small batches, artisan form, with the bare minimum of main ingredients: milk, salt, rennet. We use no additives or preservatives, so our cheeses are not only better tasting, but healthier. Our goal is not to make or sell the most cheese, but to produce the best tasting, highest quality cheese.
Laurel Vista grows vegetables, mainly green beans, sweet onions, and potatoes, augmented by various summer vegetables. We also have expanded into a line of branded valued added jar products made from the local ingredients we grow: Sweet Onion and Garlic Jam, Dilly Beans, Pickled Peppers, and Pasta Sauce.
Since 2002, Abbe and Anderson Turner's 14-acre Lucky Penny Farm in Garrettsville, Ohio has adhered to the highest sustainable agricultural practices in providing a home for Nubian, La Mancha and Alpine dairy goats. Using special blends of rich milk from select goat farms, we hand craft artisanal cheeses, yogurt, and confections. Smooth, creamy cheeses from Lucky Penny Creamery and goat-milk based confections from Lucky Penny Candy are sold across the Great Lakes Region at farmers markets, CSA’s, gourmet specialty stores and local and regional restaurants.
